Googly Ghouls Tags

Happy Sunday! Hope your weekend has been relaxing. We are enjoying some football and about to devour some nachos...yum!

I am loving these Googly Ghouls from Stampin' Up. They are just the cutest...which is exactly what I prefer for Halloween. No scary stuff for me.

I cut these tags on my Cricut and then stamped each little character and Happy Halloween. I colored each one and added a bit of glitter glue to the mummy for some shine.

I faux stitched around the white tags because it looked a little plain. These were so easy to mass produce, I may use them for Sophie's kindergarten class.

I am linking this up with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Tag It. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I have mommy volunteer duties at school...I'm so very excited.

Critters Galore

Happy Thursday! Wow, where has the week gone? Where has the year gone? I am looking forward to holidays and have been trying to get some holiday cards done. But that's not what I'm showing you today.

Today I have a cute little card made with Lawn Fawn's Into the Woods. I love this set! It's hard to believe I only got it about a month ago, my first Lawn Fawn stamps. Embarrassing I know...

I stamped the deer and fox onto some pattern paper - I believe it's Crate Paper Little Bo Peep - and then fussy cut them out. You want to know embarrassing? I do not own a die cutting machine that cuts dies. Right?! Total face palm. I do have a Cricut but it's not the same of course, so fussy cutting it is.

The grass and sky are scraps from my pile and the little flowers were punch with a Fiskars flower punch. I have a huge pile of these little flowers, sometimes I just sit and punch them from tiny scraps that I have. Confession: I have too many tiny scraps!

I am entering this in the Lawnscaping Challenge: Critters Galore...

Thanks for stopping by!

Polka Dot Halloween

Happy Sunday! Hope you are having a fantastic weekend...we are relaxing today and enjoying our Sunday Football Funday.

My card today is a sweet one featuring some Googly Ghouls from Stampin' Up. Aren't they cute?

Out of all the paper I own and hoard, I actually do not have any fun and silly Halloween paper, so I decided to make my own polka dot background.  I used a regular #2 pencil and stamped the eraser end to create my dots. Super easy! Excuse the filter on the picture below...I had originally posted it on Instagram.

The sentiment is from a fun Halloween set by Inkadinkadoo. I used mini Distress Inks in Spiced Marmalade, Seedless Preserves and Mowed Lawn. Love those mini inks! I added a faux stitched boarder around each ghoul and some sequins for a little shine.

I'm liking this up with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge-Make Your Own Background. Enjoy the rest of weekend and thank you for stopping by!

Campfire Tails

See...told ya I'd be back! Today's card was inspired by this sketch over at Newtons Nook Designs for the Inky Paws Challenge #13. When I first saw the sketch I swear a lightbulb went off in my head, the lights were on and I was sure someone was home.

Inky Paws Challenge #13 - Sketch Challenge - Newton's Nook Designs

Then as I started stamping and piecing the card together, I was like "whoa, is anyone home?!" It just did not turn out the way I envisioned it. Ever have that happen? I'm still sharing it in hopes that you'll take pity on me and that you'll think it's not as bad. =)

This super cute bear, fish, bird  and sentiment are all from the Campfire Tails set. I stamped, colored and fussy cut the fishing bear. All the paper are scraps from my really big pile of paper scraps (just can't throw anything away!). I used an array of markers to color everything and a bit of washi tape to hold everything together.

I was taking pictures of some Halloween cards, hence the black background. Remember I told you I was working on my photos and editing...it's a work in progress, though I think this one looks good.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Amy Tsuruta  at Tsuruta Designs for welcoming me back yesterday! I really did miss creating and blogging, but the break was much needed. I hope to be out and about visiting blogs again. Leave me a link in the comments and I'll be happy to stop by!

Have an amazing day!

Heeeeeyyyyy, Remember Me?

HI (waving frantically)!!

Yes I disappeared but I am back...hopefully LOL. Life has been a rollercoaster of fun, challenges and changes and everything but crafty stuff the last few months.

I am happy to say that I'm back. I've been getting crafty and am excited to show you what I've got going on. If your on Instagram (sophienme), you can follow me for sneak peaks, behind the scenes and life.

Before I go, here's a card I made at some point during the summer. The photo and editing are terrible aren't they?! I'm totally working on that!
