PTI February Blog Hop Challenge

This is my second post for today. Scroll down or here for my first post. I'm still playing in PTI's Sweet Spring Blog Hop Challenge. Inspiration:

My sweet Spring card...the papers are from Echo Parks Hello Summer collection. I cut the oval and scallop from my Cricut.

I love this little polka dot bunny! It's so super cute. It's from PTI Polka Dot Parade #1. I used my distress inks - love the vibrant colors - and some Stampin' Up inks

I stamped the flowers on the bottom and drew in the leaves with a Stampin' Up marker. The ribbon and bow were an after thought, actually the bow was to cover up a smudge my finger made, didn't realize I had ink on it. Oops, LOL,

Thanks for stopping by again!

PTI February Blog Hop Challenge: Sweet Spring

Hello and Happy Tuesday! Its time for the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop...Sweet Spring. I'm sure many of you are ready for spring. We are ready for rain and we might actually get some this weekend.  Look how sweet this inspiration is...

I used Echo Parks Hello Summer Collection. The sun is from PTI's Heart 2 Heart #6, I just took the smiley face off before I stamped it.

The sentiment is from the new Building Blocks Stamp set. Love this set! So many things you can do with it!

Thanks for stopping by! I've got one more coming up really soon.

Cameo Birthday

Hello and happy Thursday! I've got a quick card to share today...I think it's a beauty too. What do you think?

I used Crate paper pieces left over from this post and I modeled this card in almost the exact same fashion. The scalloped oval and white oval were cut on my Cricut. I used a fine point sharpie and hand dotted the edge...love the way it adds a finish to ovals and circles.

That beautiful silhouette is a rub on from a box of goodies I won last year. I added tiny pearls (Michael's) to create her necklace. The ribbon is also fom Michael's, I tied the bow then looped the ends around the card.

The flowers are Mini Blooms fom PTI and the sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping. I used Stampin' Up Early Espresso and Studio G inks.

I've been getting crafty and have lots of new cards coming. It's all about spring! Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Wednesday! I'm in the kitchen for the next two days baking up sugar cookies for Sophie's preschool class and Valentine's Day bags so I thought I get in this one quick card.

I used CAS-Fridays Wildflowers stamp set and Peacock Feathers Distressed ink. I stamped and masked the flowers to create my bouquet. I then used a watercolor pen and some more ink (smeared on my acrylic block) to color in the flowers.

I then tore the edges of my card and using the same watercolor stuff just painted my torn edges. A little yellow center, hand drawn stems, twine bow and a hello and done.

This was my first time water coloring (a card) and I just loved it. I used 110lb paper from JoAnns and it held up really well. It's super thick and such a great price.

Love...love is in the air and Valentine's Day is just around the corner! I have one last Valentine to share, this one is going to my DH. For Christmas i asked for an embossing kit from Michael's. My DH braved the crowds and found it for me. It came with a heat gun, some inks and matching embossing powders.

I figured since he bought the kit for me it would be fitting to give him the first card I made using it. The heart arrows and sentiment are embossed. The coverage isn't the best (I'm still practicing) but I love what embossing does.

I used Carta Bella's Devoted collection for the cupid background. The rest of the cardstock is from Michael's. The stamps are from the dollar bin at JoAnns and the enamel dots are from MME.

I'm linking up with the heart challenges over at Simon Say Wednesday Challenge and Pumpkin Spice Challenge #58. Hope you are having a great weekend so far!

SURPRISE! A baby blog hop for Jinny

Hi!! Today is a very special day as we are celebrating the birth of Mr. Kaden Newlin. Jinny from Soaring delivered her newest bundle of joy last Sunday. Stop by her blog to check out a sweet pictures of all her adorable kiddos, cards and lay outs and leave her some love.

I love Jinny's creations and how she layers patterns effortlessly. I tried to copy that on this card. I used Crate Paper's Little Boy Blue...really love the vintage patterns.

I created a double tag with a "K" from Cricut's Alaphalicious cartridge. I added faux stitching with a brown marker and some random buttons from my stash.

The jute twine is from Maya Road and the sentiment from Clear Dollar Stamps. I added a grosgrain ribbon strip and a punched doily lace strip from Martha Stewart. A few pearls and rhinestones and voila...done.

Here is a list of lovely ladies joining me in saying congratulations to Jinny and family. Hop along to see what they've created.

Love Story

Happy Thursday! Hope your week is going good and most of you are warm...okay so I know most of you aren't warm. So I'm sending you warm and toasty wishes.

As we all know Valentine's Day is right around the corner. Here's a little valentine I created from Echo Park Be Mine collection.

This is another attempt at a college style card and I love all the elements. That pink damask paper is gorgeous. I distressed it with a baby wipe smudged with black ink. It totally was an accident, I didn't realize I had ink on my hand and got it on the cardstock. So naturally I grab a wipe to see if I could get it off and bam....the card is distressed now. LOL right?!

It was really bright and beautiful before the distressing and now I think it's more grungy...I like it and I don't. What do you think?

All the tickets and bannner are fron the sticker page of the collection. The stamp is My Pink Stamper. I used glitter glue on the hearts (JoAnns dollar bin) and the doily is from Wilton.

I'm linking up with Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Have a Heart and Fusion Card Challenge #3  using the inspiration photo below.

I totally {heart} you all for stopping by and leaving a comment!

Seriously, You're the Best

Happy Sunday! It's football fun day! Yes, we are watching the big game...we aren't partial to any team playing really, but I am a Peyton Manning fan so I'll be cheering for the Broncos.

Today is also my dear friend Carrie's birthday, so I thought I'd share the card I made her. Everything (except the enamel dots) on this card is from the Studio Calico kit Blue Note. This kit has totally challenge me and I am loving the results!

The stamp set included in this kit is from Mama Elephant. It's pretty awesome and has lots of uses!  The grey striped card was actually a card thrown in there by the person who packed the kit. I thought it would look good so I used it. It says "packed by Andrew" on the other side.

Seriously...that fringed fabric flower is so cool! I just added the enamel dot and slapped it on there. As you can see below I messed up on my stamping a bit, the "the best" part is crooked but oh well.

Thanks for stopping by. I am linking this up to A Blog Named Hero Challenge #37 Flowers. Oh and happiest of birthdays Carrie!
