Panda Love

Hello and happy Friday! Ugh, I've been out with the sniffles....mainly sinus sniffles. Thankfully I am feeling better and getting back to "work".

Valentine's day is just around the corner so I thought I share this little sweetie. Isn't he the cutest? I've noticed pandas are big in the crafting world right now, so I thought I'd jump on board and cut out this guy from Cricut's Create a Critter.

The heart balloon is also from the same cartridge. I just added a little white gel pen line for some shine. The cardstock is a retired line from Stampin' Up...I have no clue what the name of it is, sorry. It does have some glitter accents and is so pretty in person.

The sentiment is part of a set from Hero Arts, Celebrate Everyday (I think thats what its called). I added the extra white hearts and gave them a little glitter glue shine.

Super simple and super cute! I'm linking this little guy up with the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by!

Cake and Candles

Happy Tuesday! I hope you are having a wonderful day! Recently I received  a Studio Calico kit I had won from Mama Elephant and I've slowly been breaking in to it and having some fun.

The sentiments (except Happy Birthday) and candles are part of an exclusive stamp set for this kit. I used a journaling card to make my polariod frame. I then stamped the candles, sentiments and adhered everything together.

Everything on this card (with the exception of Happy Birthday Sentiment, ink, glitter glue and adhesive) were from the kit. Even those dark blue enamel dots...yup from the kit. This was my first time playing with a kit and it's been fun and totally challenging. Nothing in this kit was in my usual style of card making an I loved it!

This fun card is in the mail to my sweet friend Danielle. Happy Birthday!!!

I'm linking this up at A Blog Named Hero - New Year, New Stash.

You Mean the World to Me

Happy Thursday! It's almost the weekend...and January is almost over. Eek...

Last fall, as I was aimlessly looking around Micheals for something to buy, I came across 12x12 paper pads from Crate Paper and American Crafts and....wait for it...they were only $5.99 each! I'm pretty sure I squealed as I grabbed 3 of them. Score!

This is from Crate Paper's Storyteller collection. The papers are full of bright and bold travel-ish prints. It is an older collection, but for $5.99 I am happy to use it. This was my first attempt at a college style card, with lots of bits and pieces.

All the paper and tags were cut from this collection. The sentiment and compass stamp are new to me. I got them in a mystery box I purchased from another blogger (love those!). After a little searching, and lots of stumbling, I found out they are from a Studio Calico kit.

The arrow stamp (Studio G) and red polka dot washi are from JoAnn's dollar bin. The twine is from Maya Road and the "love" stamp is from the Dear Lizzy collection (another new to me from the mystery box).

I used Stampin' Up markers to color in the "you mean the world to me". I also faux stitched the edges with a brown marker. Lastly, yup did the envelope too.

If you've made it this far in my post, thank you! Sometimes I get a little long winded...this card just had so many tid-bits. Totally not my normal style but I really like it.

BTW...totally got crafty tonight while grooving to the Matchbox Twenty Pandora station. Seriously, it was a trip down memory lane...if you loved 90's/early 2000's alternative rock I highly recommend it. Good times!

Happy 5th Birthday

Happy Tuesday! I am happy to report that Sophie is all better and running around like the wild child she is. It's awesome!

Today is my niece's 5th birthday! I know we all say it, but time flies fast! Here is the birthday card I made her.

I used DCWV All About Girls Stack and the Artful Delight's Sketch. This is a super cute stack with lots of fun girly prints.

The sentiment is from two different SU sets Swirls & Curls Verses and Memorable Moments. Here's the sketch from Artful Delight.

Happiest of birthdays my dear Gwyn!

Love Bandit

Happy Wednesday! Hope you're doing good.  My little Sophie has a mild ear infection in both ears, this is a first for us.  She's on the mend and feeling better but we had a rough weekend.

I just wanted to share another cutie pie from Cricut's Create a Critter cartridge. Doesn't he just have the sweetest face?

I used Crate Paper's Paper Heart collection. The raccoon is cut from shiny metallic cardstock from Micheal's. Makes him just a little cuter.

A few random hearts and stamp from JoAnn's dollar bin. I love that this can be a Valentine's, birthday or just an I Love You card. That's all for today....take care my friends!

Heartfelt Thanks

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It was sunny and warm here in CA, which is nice but, man oh man, do we need some rain. Just a little please?!

We spent most of the weekend in. My little Sophie has a cough and runny nose (courtesy of pre-school) and she was complaining of an ear ache. The ear ache seems to have subsided but the cough is still around.

Here's a thank you card I made as a last minute submission to a DT call. Didn't get on the team but that's okay. They picked up some really talented ladies and I'm excited to see what they come up with.

I used a Prima script stamp for the background. The hydrangea  and sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping. I colored it in with some Stampin' up Markers, fussy cut them and then layered them on top of each other to give it a fuller look.

A little jute twine, button and pearl and ta da! So pretty. I'm thinking some shimmer would've been really pretty on the blooms. Maybe next time.

That's it for today. I just wanted to give a heartfelt thanks to everyone who's been stopping by and commenting! It really makes me smile and totally makes my day brighter! Thank you.

Happy Birthday Fusion Style

Hello Friends! Happy Saturday. Hope you are doing something fun this weekend. We'll be hanging out enjoying our 70 degree weather. As nice as the weather is it would be nice to have some rain.

I found a new challenge (new to me) called the Fusion Card Challenge. The inspiration photo fit the bell so well with the papers I had on my table I went ahead and played along. I took my own liberties with the sketch, turning it and not quite lining up my 3 elements, but isn't that what a sketch is all about?

I love this little bicycle stamp.  Unfortunately the company is no longer in business. That seems to be happening more and more these days which is sad. Though I've also noticed a few new stamp companies popping up online which is good.

And the envelope please..excited about Award season anyone? I used to watch them but now I just catch the highlights when I can. I love looking at the gowns and jewels.

Here is the inspiration and sketch photo for the first challenge of the year. Pretty cool huh? Love the colors in that room, I'd love to live in that room!

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it!

Bee Mine Valentine

So is it too early for a Valentine's Day card? Let's hope not because I have a Valentine's Day card to share today. It is super cute though, so I hope you'll forgive me.

See told you it was super cute.  My little bee is from Cricut's Create a Critter cartridge. I added some glitter glue to his wings so they have serious sparkle. I hand cut the pink heart and then pleated a doily to make it ruffly.

I even decorated the envelope too...super easy to do and makes it a little more special. Told you I'd be doing more of that.

Here is the sketch I used from Artful Delight....lots of time to play still!

Hope you're having a great week!

Hello Friend

Happy Monday! We are back into our normal regular school routine and I couldn't be happier. Here is another simple card I made from the My Favorite Things Sketch #157.

Is it me or do your pictures look perfect on your camera screen? I always think they are awesome until I upload them and have to edit them. When I edit them I think "oh so much brighter", then I upload them to Blogger. After previewing them in Blogger I think "I probably need to clean my glasses when I edit." LOL, this picture is just darker than I'd like, but I'm too lazy to edit it again.

No envelope on this one,'s the sketch.

Have a great week! I'll be back with more soon.

Happy Birthday Card

Howdy there! I have a super simple and sweet birthday card for you today. I'm playing along with My Favorite Things Sketch #157.

I used different shades of purple cardstock, the background one had glittery dots. The flowers are from CAS-Fridays Wallflower set. I can't wait to ink this set up more!

Here is my pretty stamped envelope too. Makes a simple card so much more special. Love this sketch, especially on those days when I want to craft but am having a mental block. Those totally happen more often then I want!

Hope your weekend has been great! Ours has been relaxing and quiet - just the way I like it!

Hello and a Happy Birthday card

Happy New Year! I can not believe it's 2014. I have lots of plans for this I just need to make time to do them all. I hope the new year has been off to a great start for you!

I made this card for a dear "old" friend of mine. Since her birthday is in January and mine is in March, I joke that she's SO much older than me.  I love the way it turned out, the color combo reminds me of Fall.

I used paper from My Minds Eye Honey Cake. The flower and leaf stamps are from Fabulous Florets by Stampin' Up. I fussy cut both and even used sequins for a little bling.

I stamped the envelope and added little blue dots to mimic the pattern paper. I've been trying to figure out ways to dress up the envelope so it's not so plain. You will be seeing more of this!

Thanks for stopping by! Oh and a BIG thank you to everyone who stopped by for my December Creative Candy posts . It was nice having a break from card making and regular blogging. Hope you enjoyed the feast for your eyes!

And of course, Happy Birthday Rosy!
