Fall

Happy Friday! Can you believe Fall is here? I'm so excited it's my favorite time of the year, even though our weather doesn't really change here in CA. I walked into a store the other day and it smelled delicious-I was looking around for a bakery, but they had those cinnamon scented broom sticks by the front door.  It made me laugh.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and today I'm celebrating with this beautiful card. The beauty is all from the paper...DCWV Autumn Melody. There is a Lot of shine and shimmer on this that the camera can not capture. My base layer is Kraft cardstock-trying to go for a rustic elegant look.

The orange ribbon is leftover from a friends wedding a few years ago. We used it to weave through a birdcage for envelopes. I have no idea where the big button is from, found it hiding in my button stash.

Here's the color inspiration from The Kraft Journal. Yay for fall!!

I Hear the Train a Comin'

Choo choo...okay so probably the wrong song for a 3 year old.  I made this fun card for a friends nephew and hopefully he likes trains.

The background paper is at least 3 years old and comes from a paper pack I bought at Target. It is the last of that design and I think it just shouts "party!".

The train and balloons were cut on my Cricut. I even popped up the blue balloon with some foam tape for extra pizazz  I love pizazz haha!

Thinking of You

Hello there and a happy Tuesday to you all! Just a quick post with some gorgeous cards (IMHO) that I put together this weekend.

See, told you they were gorgeous! LOL. I made these as a present for a friend but I'm having an extremely hard time letting them go. The birdcage was a $1 stamp at JoAnn's, I've used it before and just adore it. The sentiment and flowers are from PTI's Mini Blooms set.

Sigh...to keep or give. Guess even if I keep them, I'll give them away sooner or later right? Decisions, decisions....

I'm linking up this classy set with the A Blog Named Hero #32 - Game, Set, Match Challenge.
Hoping your having a great day!

Make a Wish...

Hello there! It's been cloudy and a bit chilly here...hopefully it'll stay that way. I love fall weather, though I'm sure my CA fall weather is much milder than everywhere else.

Ive got more crafty goodness to share. Here's a quick and fun card I made using some Bo Bunny pattern papers.

I added a little tag cut short and squatty to look like a tea bag. i stamped the tea cup and then paper pieced it after stamping on the olive green cardstock. I  distressed the tag with brown ink so the pink didn't stand out as much.

The cute pink flowers and the "Make a Wish" sentiment from Inspired by Stamping. Love the font...so pretty and feminine.

I'm linking up with the Inspired by Stamping color challenge #65. Here is the inspiration:

More Crafty Goodness

Happy Tuesday! Since I had my little bicycle stamp out I decided to put it to use again and made this set of cute thank you notes.

These cards were super simple to make and I'm really digging their CAS style. The red strip of paper are leftovers from some Martha Stewart Christmas paper, who would've guessed?!

I'm linking this set up over at A Blog Named Hero - Game, Set, Match Challenge. There's plenty of time to join in.

Thought I'd share a picture of Miss Sophie goofing around...silly girl.

Yay I Got Crafty!

Hello!! Well, I'm finally back. Miss Sophie is settling into pre-school nicely and my house is getting cleaner by the day. Laundry a getting done and my crafty area is almost back to normal. DH had some time off between jobs so we ripped out the carpet in the living and replaced it with tile. All my crafty stuff ended up everywhere and I'm finally getting it back together.

I decided to ease back into card making with a sketch from The Kraft Journal. I used a sweet stamp from Paper and Such. Unfortunately they're no longer in business. The paper is from Crate Paper's Pretty Party. Pretty indeed...what do you think?

I've been practicing taking photos with my phone. Still a work in progress. How do you take your photos?

Here is the sketch, there's still a little bit of time to play along. Thanks for stopping by and hanging out with me!
