Happy Easter

Oh my it's been little Sophie and I have been sick. It hasn't been fun and it sure wasn't an easy time I tell you. But we are much better and moving on, catching up and planning for Easter.
Easter is quickly approaching, are you ready? My friend Rosie is! She requested a card her little bunny Lily could give to her daddy. I love my Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge and found this adorable bunny. The little bow tie, hair bows and basket are from the same cartridge.
I'm entering this sweet card in the Fantabulous Cricut Blog Challenge #104 "Gentle Animals", Paper and Such Design Blog Challenge "Spring or Easter Card"
Wish me luck!

Welcome Little One

Having a little one of mine own now I cherish the times when it's quiet and everything is clean and in its place. I can achieve it sometimes, though there is no way it ever looks like this...

This is the inspiration photo for the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger. Isn't it amazingly beautiful and serene? I love the clean lines and light feminine colors, the hint of pink, white and cream. These things are what inspired me to create this card for a new little baby girl.

I love the simplicity of the card and think its just as beautiful as the room. Paper: Recollections Cardstock, DCWV Nana's Nursery Circut: Gypsy Wanderings Stamp: Clear Dollar Stamps Ink: Studio G Pearls: Recollections Pearls Ribbon: Offray Adhesive: Scotch ATG

Flower Bouquet Birthday Card

I found this paper pack at JoAnn's. It had the most vibrant green which I thought would be perfect for spring. The paper is textured which is always a plus but I didn't realize it wasn't cardstock so cutting it on the Cricut has proven to be a challenge. We all need challenges right?
I created this card for two challenges actually. The Paper and Such Design Blog Sketch Challenge and the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday (use at least 3 flowers). I love sketch challenges because they give you a great place to start and I love my Cricut so why not combine the two?!
I cut the vase and flowers from the Walk in My Garden Cartridge - it has some amazing flowers and is really fun to play with. I layered the flowers and gave a few the pop dot treatment so there is dimension amongst the bouquet.
Here is the sketch...
There's few things better in life than a bouquet of flowers!

Hoppy Easter

Easter is just around the corner! My good friend Rosie asked for an Easter card for her sweet little Lily and of course I was delighted to make one for her.

I found this cool zig zag paper in my DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies paper pad. Isn't it perfect for Easter? The colors are just so spring!

I used the Paper and Such Sketch Challenge as my starting point. Sketches make things so much easier most of the time. Here is the sketch: Hope you love it little Miss Lily! Home is Where Your Story Begins

There is nothing better than home. Growing up in a divorced family and staying separate homes, moving and starting over again has really made me value the word home. Having my little Sophie now all I want to do is give her a home-someplace she knows she belongs. That being said I am in love with this stamp from Market Street Stamps. It's is adorable and as soon as I saw it I had to have it. I am not an impulsive buyer at all-I generally mull my wants over for a few days, look at them over and over again and then decide if I really need them. Not with this little set. I saw, I wanted and I purchased immediately!
Tell me this isn't the sweetest card for someone purchasing a new home or starting a new family?! I stamped the inside with "Congratulations". The 3 houses in the middle have been pop dotted for added dimension. I colored in some of the features with a teal blue ink pen. The colors are from the Market Street Stamp Challenge Paint the Town. Here is the inspiration: I hope home is a wonderful place for everyone! P.S. Just saw the new blog post from guest designer Laurie Willison - great minds think alike!

Happy Birthday Grandma

This card was amazingly simple yet I think it looks stunning. I love the country vintage feel - there should be a lattice top cherry pie on a window sill somewhere.

I used a border punch for the stitches on the red cardstock and inked the edges of the polka dot paper and white layer to age it a little. I had cut the cherries out a while ago while playing around with my Gypsy so those were ready to go. A little twine, ribbon and rhinestones and BAM done. You know I really miss the Emeril show!

I am entering this card in the Shopping Our Stash (SOS) Food/Beverage Related Challenge. Then it's off for safe keeping until it's time to head to Grandma's house!

Bit O'Green

Actually it is a lot of green. Happy St. Patrick's Day! My DH and I had our very first date on St. Patrick's Day 10 years ago...still amazes me that so much time has passed already. I am very lucky to have found him and so very lucky to still have him!
I am entering this card at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Bit O'Green. It definitely is more than a "bit of green" but that's what St. Patrick's Day is all about. Go Green!
The clover is 3 hearts put together. Funny I thought 4 leaf clovers were more associated with St. Patty's Day but looking around on various sites, projects and store decorations a lot of them use a 3 leaf clover so I am deeming them lucky as well. I used a old gold gel pen and hand dotted the frame.
Have an amazing day-who knows maybe you'll get lucky!

Wedding Congratulations Card

I made this card following the Artful Delight-Delightful Inspiration Templete for March. At first I was a little intimidated by the templete because there was so much on it but when I found these in my stash I knew I could do it.

I've had this paper for a few years - no really I have. I am such a paper hoarder. I love paper and sometimes it pains me to cut it. Go ahead and laugh, I am!

Here is the templete inspiration... ASC Sketch #18

Congratulations Wedding Card

Here is another beautiful card in the lovely shades of charcoal, ash and butter. I made this card for the Play Date Cafe Challenge. I used a sketch from Retro Sketches. I thought I had more time to enter it in their challenge but missed out. It's okay, I love the way this card turned out am in love with these colors!
Isn't the key just beautiful? I found these at JoAnn's. I love them. The middle strip of paper has lots of glittery accents which makes this card shine.

Here is the inspiration again, it's gorgeous!

"A" is for Apricot - A Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger

Have I mentioned how much I love this blog? Amazing inspiration can be found here daily-usually twice daily! Whenever I look there is something new posted that gets my creative juices flowing. Ideas don't just float in my head, they compete with each other...LOL but it's so true.
Here is the gorgeous inspiration for this Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger.
I know it is in French but the colors - turquoise, coral and gold - really shouted Moroccan to me. Seriously they shouted. I loved the Moroccan themed banners I did recently (you can see them here) and decided to create a baby card based on them.

Cure for the Winter Blues - A Moxie Fab World Challenge

Here is the Cure for the Winter Blues Challenge which you can also enter thru March 11. The challenge is to incorporate navy blue in an innovative way. Here is what I came up with...

I used mostly navy blue paper and ink with a hint of silver. I hand stamped the background as well as stamped the butterflies, flowers and sentiment. The bird cage is cut on my Cricut using the April Showers cartridge. Navy blue rhinestones and pearl button center just make this card "moxie fab"!

You may be wondering "Where's the little bird that suppose to be in the cage?". Well, he decided to take a flight around the world because what better cure is there for the winter blues?

Paper: Recollections Navy Blue, White and Metallic Silver Stamps: Stampin' Up Bliss Set (filigree and butterflies), Studio G (sentiment), Stampin' Up Pretty Petals (flowers) Ink: Studio G Accents: Zva Creative (pearls), Me and My Big Ideas (rhinestones) Adhesive: Scotch ATG Hope you love it like I do!

Happy Mother's Day Card

Hello! It's already March which means spring is on it's way and so is Mother's Day. I made this Mother's Day card for 3 challenges this week - look at me multi tasking! I really love the way this card turned out, it's very elegant yet understated. It's really perfect for anyone on Mother's Day. Of course You can give it to Mom, but it's also great for your Mother in Law, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Godmother....really anyone who's made an impact in your life in a motherly way.

Home Sweet Home - A Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger Challenge

I found this amazing blog called Moxie Fab World and I am just in love with them! The blog is hosted by Cath Edvalson who is the Trends Editor of Paper Crafts Magazine. Her challenges, posts and finds are so inspiring and fun. Almost every Tuesday she posts a Tuesday Trigger challenge with a picture that should challenge and inspire you to create. This Tuesday Trigger is based on the theme "Home Sweet Home". You can view the inspiration picture by clicking here.
When I think of "Home Sweet Home" Mom comes to mind. And being a mother now myself I hope that my Sophie thinks of our home sweet home as the place she wants to be. With Mother's Day just around the corner (really it is) I decided to make this cute Mother's Day Card to celebrate Mom and Home Sweet Home.
I love the spring colors...I found the striped paper and green polka dot paper in my stash but it is from Die Cuts with a View. I cut the sweet bird house and cloud from my April Showers Cricut Cartridge and used a pink gem brad to hold my tag in place. I hand wrote "Mom" on the tag and inked the cloud with a little blue to give it some texture. I stamped "Happy Mother's Day" with a beautiful little stamp I found online at Clear Dollar Stamps.
Paper: Recollections, DCWV
Stamp: Clear Dollar Stamps
Ink: Studio G, Recollections

I hope you love my Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger "Home Sweet Home" Card because I do! Thanks for looking.

Sweet Sixteen Birthday Card

A dear friend of mine needed a birthday card for a sweet sixteen party she was going to. The theme was Fairytale and the birthday girl's favorite color is blue. This is what I came up with and I love it!

I cut the "16" using the Alphalicious cartridge on my Cricut. The flowers I handstamped in blue and silver with a flower from my Stampin Up Pretty Petals set. I hand cut each flower and added pop dot to some for added dimension. The flowers have a mixture of silver pearl centers and clear rhinestone centers.
